Are you looking for something fun to do in Central Florida this summer? If so, Mr. Clean Can has some recommendations that you’ll want to add to your calendar. Aside from the theme parks, there are so many other things to check out in the area! Take a look at our suggestions below!
Thunder on the Ridge
If you don’t have plans for the Fourth of July yet, we highly recommend checking out Thunder on the Ridge in Haines City! Thunder on the Ridge is Polk County’s largest firework display. Along with an awesome fireworks show, they also offer food, beverages, live entertainment, and more. The event takes place on July 4th at Lake Eva Park, and we suggest bringing chairs and blankets for you and the family to sit on while you enjoy the fireworks! We’re positive this will be a memorable experience for you and the family. If you want to know more about the event, just head over to Haines City’s website!
Concert at the House of Blues in Disney Springs
The House of Blues in Disney Springs has a ton of shows to check out this summer! From a Queen tribute band to Bowling for Soup, we guarantee there will be something that you’ll enjoy! Along with bands, you’ll also find events where a DJ is playing your favorite hits. On July 9th, your kids may love going to see DJ Matt Bennett playing their favorite Disney and Nickelodeon hits. Once you decide on a show, we recommend planning on getting to Disney Springs early to grab dinner beforehand, as there are plenty of delicious options to choose from!
Take a look at the House of Blues events calendar to see all of the shows they have planned for this summer!
Lakeland First Friday
If you find yourself in Lakeland, we highly suggest checking out Lakeland First Friday! This is an event held on the first Friday of each month and takes place on the streets of downtown Lakeland. Downtown shops and restaurants stay open late, and you can check out local artists and creators at the Makers Market. Also, be sure to head over to Main St to check out the Classy Car show! Each Lakeland First Friday has a theme. July’s is Bike Night and August’s is Back to School! The event takes place from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. For more information head over to Downtown Lakeland’s website!
Murder for Two
This August, at the Winter Park Playhouse, you’ll find Murder for Two, a musical comedy that’s also a murder mystery! The best part? All 13 characters are played by just two actors. We’re sure you and the family will love this hilarious whodunnit show! It’s open to ages 11 and up, so it’s a great option for a family night out! They have plenty of dates to choose from in August. Buy your tickets today, you don’t want to miss out on this!
