Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the trash can cleaning services (“Services”) provided by Clean Cans (“we”, “us”, or “our”), you (“Customer”, “you”, or “your”) agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of service (“Terms of Service”). If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, you must not use our Services.
Service Description
Clean Cans offers trash can cleaning Services on a weekly, twice-monthly, monthly, quarterly, or one-time basis (“Service Frequency”). We endeavor to provide our Services to the highest standards and within our routing and truck availability.
Early Cancellation Fee
To ensure the efficiency of our service scheduling and operations, an early cancellation fee applies to customers who choose to cancel their service before the first scheduled cleaning has taken place. If you cancel your service after signing up but before the initial service is provided, we will retain a cancellation fee of $15 from your initial payment. The remainder of your payment will be refunded to the payment method on file. This fee compensates for the administrative costs and loss of scheduling opportunity caused by late cancellations.
Service Commitment
The weekly, twice-monthly, and monthly Services require a minimum commitment of 3 months. The quarterly Service requires a minimum commitment of 2 quarters. In the event of early cancellation of these Services, the customer will be charged for the remaining balance of the committed period. This charge reflects the amount due for the remainder of the commitment period at the time of cancellation.
Billing and Payment
Customers are billed at the time of sign-up for their chosen service frequency. For weekly, twice-monthly, and monthly recurring Services, customers will be billed on the first of each month. Quarterly service customers will be billed on the first of the month that marks the beginning of their next two-quarter cycle. It is imperative to have a valid and active payment method on file for service continuation. Services will be withheld until payment is confirmed. We accept payments exclusively via credit or debit cards. Customers can update their payment information at any time by contacting our customer service team.
Scheduling and Notifications
Service scheduling is subject to our routing logistics and the trash collection schedule provided by the Customer at sign-up. Accurate scheduling information from the Customer is crucial to prevent additional charges or scheduling errors. We send an SMS notification as a reminder the day before the scheduled Service. Failure to make the trash can(s) available for cleaning after our SMS reminder may result in the Service being non-refundable, non-creditable, and not rescheduled, at our discretion.
Reschedule and Inconvenience Fee
In instances where the trash can(s) are not available for cleaning or contain refuse at the time of a scheduled cleaning, and we have not been notified following the service notification SMS, we reserve the right to charge a reschedule fee of $10 to the payment method on file.
Cancellation and Billing Continuation
For the cancellation of services to take effect, notification must be received prior to the next billing date. Quarterly services are billed in advance for two quarters at a time, and all recurring services will continue to be billed and provided until cancellation is explicitly requested and confirmed. Dispute Resolution and Chargeback Policy
We encourage customers to contact our customer service team to address any billing issues before initiating a chargeback with their card provider. By agreeing to these Terms of Service, the customer acknowledges their responsibility to settle disputes by contacting us directly and agrees that initiating a chargeback is a last resort that should be used only when direct resolution efforts have been unsuccessful. Chargebacks filed without following this procedure or filed in an attempt to circumvent our cancellation policy may be contested by us.
Acceptance of Charges
By agreeing to these Terms of Service and using our services, the customer authorizes Clean Cans to charge the payment method on file for any agreed-upon service frequency and associated fees, including reschedule fees and charges due upon cancellation before the end of a committed service period.
