Whether you’re an Orlando resident or a Disney regular, there’s one time of year that takes the scenery at Walt Disney World to a new level: the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival.

Running from March 4 through June 1, 2026, this year’s festival is bigger and brighter than ever. While many tourists head to the parks for the characters, we locals know that the real magic is in the details like the hidden gardens, the best food booths, and knowing how to avoid the brutal midday heat.

1. New Gardens to Explore

Every year, Disney adds fresh floral displays, and 2026 has brought some fantastic new additions.

• Pluto’s Pet-Friendly Garden: Located in World Nature, this is a must-see for all our fellow dog lovers. It’s a great spot to learn about gardening with your furry friends in mind.
• Wildlife Crossing Garden: Situated near CommuniCore Hall, this garden is inspired by the new Disney and Pixar film Hoppers. It’s both educational and adorable.
• Trendy Tropicals: Between the Morocco and France pavilions, this display features the “it” plants of 2026 that will give you some serious inspiration for your own Florida patio.

2. How to Master the Garden Graze

If you’re planning on eating your way around the World Showcase, don’t forget to pick up a Festival Passport. The Garden Graze is a fun food stroll that rewards you for eating!

• Pro Tip: This year’s favorites include the Potato Pancakes at the Germany pavilion and the Avocado Toast at BRUNCHCOT.
• Local Secret: Once you complete five stampflows on your passport, you get a “completer prize” (usually a specialty treat in a souvenir cup) at the Pineapple Promenade!

3. Catch the Garden Rocks Concert Series

The America Gardens Theatre is the place to be on weekend nights. The 2026 lineup is packed with nostalgia, featuring acts like Sugar Ray (April 5-6), Plain White T’s (May 3-4) and 98 Degrees (May 10-11).

• Local Tip: If you don’t want to wait in line for a seat, you can usually hear the music perfectly fine while enjoying a snack near the American Adventure pavilion.

4. Beat the Heat and the Crowds

Since we live here, we have the luxury of picking the best times to visit.

• Go Mid-Week: Tuesdays and Wednesdays are significantly less crowded than the weekends.
• Evening Magic: Arrive around 4:00 PM. The sun is starting to dip, the topiaries look beautiful at “golden hour,” and the evening breeze makes walking the World Showcase much more enjoyable.
• CommuniCore Hall: If you need a break from the Florida sun, head inside CommuniCore Hall to see Spike’s Garden. It actually transforms from day to night with glowing “fireflies” and moonlight effects!

5. Bring the Inspiration Home

The best part of the Flower & Garden Festival is the inspiration it provides for our own Florida landscapes. Whether you’re inspired by the Blossoms of Fragrance or the Butterfly Landing, spring is the perfect time to refresh your curb appeal.
