Waterfront Park
If you’re looking for a relaxing park with a beautiful lake to bike and/or hike near, look no further than Waterfront Park in Clermont. Located between East Avenue and Eighth Street, this park is situated along Lake Minneola. The fitness trail here is part of a 30-mile system, which will eventually be a part of the Florida Coast-to-Coast Trail once completed. The trail is paved, so it’s perfect for both cyclists and those traveling by foot. What’s even better? You can bring your furry friends with you to explore this beautiful park! Mr. Clean Can is positive that once you bike or hike on the trail at Waterfront Park, you’ll be coming back for years to come to take in the beautiful scenery. Crooked River Preserve
For all of the nature lovers out there, Crooked River Preserve is just the place you want to visit. This trail is a 1.7 mile loop, which makes it perfect for anyone looking for a quick hike with endless beautiful nature to immerse yourself into. There is a wide range of habitats you will be able to see while walking around the loop, and plenty of shade to go around! Once you’re done with your hike, be sure to look into their canoe and kayak rentals if you’d like a little more out of your visit! Due to the terrain, we recommend Crooked River Preserve for those looking for a hiking rather than biking trail. You’re allowed to bring your bike, but we think it’s best suited for those traveling by foot! The Crooked River Preserve is located on Lake Louisa Road in Clermont, and is open from 8am-8pm every day.
Minneola Trailhead Park
A beautiful park with a biking trail, and even a mountain bike trail, Minneola Trailhead Park is Mr. Clean Can’s choice for anyone in search of a bike trail with a bit of a challenge! The mountain bike trail is a little over 3/4 of a mile of single track with switchback turns. It’s also surrounded by tons of trees, so it’s perfect for protecting yourself from the harsh Florida summer sun! Once you’re done hitting the biking trail, be sure to relax and take in the beautiful scenery around the rest of the seventeen acres of the park. They have a dog park, basketball court, playground, and more for you and your loved ones to enjoy! Want more information? Head over to their website for the location and hours of operation!
