Mr. Clean Can’s Favorite Waterfront Dining and Sunset Spots Around Orlando

Living in Central Florida means we may not have an ocean view around every corner, but we definitely aren’t short on water. Between Orlando’s lakes, beautiful waterfront parks, and restaurants with patios right along the shoreline, there are plenty of places to slow down and catch one of those Florida sunsets that makes you forget how hot it was three hours earlier.

And after a long summer day, there’s something pretty hard to beat about sitting by the water with a cold drink, a good meal, and nowhere else you need to be.

So, whether you’re planning a date night, meeting up with friends, or just looking for a new place to enjoy an evening outside, here are a few of Mr. Clean Can’s favorite waterfront dining and sunset spots around the Orlando area.

1. Grills Lakeside Seafood Deck & Tiki Bar

For something much more casual, Grills Lakeside Seafood Deck & Tiki Bar gives you that laid-back Florida feeling without having to drive all the way to the coast.

Located on Lake Fairview in Orlando, Grills combines seafood, an outdoor lakeside setting, live music, and plenty of room to settle in and enjoy the view. Recent updates from the restaurant also continue to highlight its sunsets and waterfront events.

This is the kind of place where you can bring the family, meet up with friends, and stay a little longer than you originally planned.

Why we like it: It feels like a mini Florida getaway while still being right here in Orlando.

Best for: Casual dinners, families, live music, and anyone who wants waterfront views without making the night too fancy.

2. Canvas Restaurant & Market in Lake Nona

Lake Nona has grown into one of the most fun areas around Orlando to spend an evening, and Canvas Restaurant & Market is one of our favorite places to enjoy the neighborhood from the water.

Located in Laureate Park, Canvas describes itself as a lakeside dining destination with a casual, vibrant atmosphere that works just as well for families as it does for an evening out with friends.

Grab a table outside when the weather cooperates and watch the lake change colors as the sun starts going down.

Why we like it: You get a polished restaurant experience without losing that relaxed neighborhood feel.

Mr. Clean Can’s Tip: Make an evening of it. Lake Nona has plenty to explore before or after dinner, so there’s no reason to rush home.

3. Salt Shack on the Lake in Clermont

Sitting right along Lake Minneola in downtown Clermont, Salt Shack offers open-air waterfront dining with seafood, tacos, burgers, tropical drinks, and live music on select nights. The restaurant specifically highlights the sunset over the lake as part of the experience.

With the lake, big Florida trees, and relaxed outdoor seating, this is about as close as you’ll get to that beach-bar feeling without actually being at the beach.

Why we like it: Clermont has some fantastic sunsets, and this gives you dinner and the view in one stop.

Make a day of it: Spend some time around downtown Clermont or Waterfront Park, then head over for dinner as the sun starts getting lower.

4. The Boathouse at Disney Springs

Yes, Disney Springs can get busy. But every once in a while, it’s worth leaning into being an Orlando local and enjoying one of the places millions of people travel across the country to visit.

The Boathouse sits right on the waterfront at Disney Springs and is specifically designed around waterfront dining and sunset views. The menu includes seafood, steaks, burgers, and plenty of other options, plus outdoor bars and a boardwalk along the water.

You can even watch the vintage Amphicars drive straight into Lake Buena Vista, which never really stops being entertaining no matter how long you’ve lived here.

Why we like it: It makes a regular dinner feel a little more like a vacation.

Mr. Clean Can’s Tip: Reservations are a good idea, especially if you’re heading there around sunset on a Friday or Saturday.

5. Newton Park in Winter Garden

For a quieter evening, head over to Newton Park in Winter Garden. The park sits along Lake Apopka, and the City of Winter Garden regularly uses the waterfront setting for evening events and concerts. Newton Park also has picnic areas, tables, a playground, a boat ramp, and space to simply hang out by the water.

Pick up dinner somewhere around Plant Street, bring it over, and enjoy one of those evenings where the entertainment is basically just watching the sky change colors.

Why we like it: It’s simple, local, and doesn’t require much planning.

Mr. Clean Can’s Tip: Bring a couple of chairs or a blanket and get there a little before sunset. Florida sunsets don’t last long, and somehow the best part always seems to happen right when you’re still looking for a parking spot.

Keep the Curb Life Beautiful

One of the best parts of living around Orlando is getting to enjoy all of these lakes, parks, outdoor restaurants, and beautiful public spaces right in our own backyard.

When you’re enjoying them, help keep them that way. Throw away your cups, food containers, napkins, and leftovers, and make sure nothing ends up along the shoreline or in the water.

Of course, all those dinner leftovers eventually make their way back home to one place: your trash can.

And in the Central Florida heat, tonight’s takeout container can become tomorrow morning’s “What is THAT smell?” pretty quickly.

That’s where Clean Cans comes in. We clean, sanitize, and deodorize your trash cans right at the curb, so you can spend more time finding your next favorite Orlando sunset spot and a lot less time worrying about whatever is growing at the bottom of your bin.

Enjoy the view. We’ll handle the cans.
