Did you wait until the last minute to plan your Halloween costume? We’ve all been there! Luckily, Mr. Clean Can has a few easy DIY Halloween costumes you can throw together just in time for trick-or-treating!
A Bunch of Grapes
All you need for this costume are purple or green balloons, safety pins, and some green construction or gift wrap tissue, or any green material that would pass as a vine.
Once the balloons are blown up, you’ll use the safety pins to secure the balloons to your clothing. We suggest wearing a simple outfit, such as jeans, leggings, etc. and a plain t-shirt. Next, secure whatever vine-like material you’re using to the top of your head, either by attaching it to a headband, bobby pin, or any other item that would keep it on your head.
The Mystery Inc. Gang
A great, easy, costume idea for you and your family is to dress as the Mystery Inc. gang from Scooby Doo! Once everyone has decided which character they want to be, each person will just need similar clothing to the characters.
For example, for Shaggy, you’d need a green shirt and brown pants…it’s as simple as that! This group costume will be a fan favorite, whether you’re out trick-or-treating or at a Halloween party!
Operation Game
Who else remembers the fun, and mostly stress-inducing, game of Operation? Surprisingly, you can make an easy costume based off the game that your friends and family will get a kick out of.
We recommend wearing a grey, white, or nude colored outfit, such as a sweatshirt and sweatpants. You can then put your artistic abilities to the test by drawing up or cutting out each “body part” and sticking them in the appropriate places on your outfit.
Added bonus? Have your partner or best friend dress up as a doctor alongside you!
Gameshow Contestant
If you’ve always wanted to go on a gameshow, but have never had the chance, you may enjoy dressing up as a contestant! Two fun gameshows to take inspiration from are The Price is Right or Family Feud!
For The Price is Right, you’ll just need to wear any basic outfit, slap on their classic price tag inspired nametag, and for an added bonus, you can create a sign that looks like your “bid”.
A Family Feud costume is one of the easiest costumes you could throw together. You can wear whatever outfit you like, and just slap on a nametag that looks like what the contestants wear on the show!
