Things To Do During Social Distancing

We hope all of you are staying safe and healthy during COVID-19! Here at Clean Cans, we understand everyone may be getting a little stir crazy while practicing social distancing. That’s why Mr. Clean Can has come up with some activities to help cure your boredom!

Watch a Movie or TV Show With Your Friends…Virtually!

Are you missing going to the movie theater with your friends to catch the latest film? Well do we have good news for you! Netflix is offering a cool feature called “Netflix Party”, which allows you to watch a movie with your friends and family virtually. While you are watching the film of your choice on Netflix, you can sync up with your loved ones and even have a chat going at the same time. Not into movies? Start a series together and chat back and forth on your theories, thoughts, and so on! All you have to do to add the extension to your desktop or laptop computer is head over to Netflix Party!

Learn Something New!

With nowhere to go, and a lot of time on your hands, now is the perfect time to learn something new. Have you always wanted to learn a new language? Try out Duolingo! It’s free to try, and there’s an app you can download directly to your phone. If learning a new language doesn’t interest you, there are so many more things you can learn to do. You could also learn new cooking or baking skills, how to play an instrument, photography, the list goes on and on! Whether it’s just for fun, or for something you can include on your resume, learning a new skill can help you stay busy and entertained during this time!

Don’t Forget About Your Daily Vitamin D!

It is recommended for everyone to get about 10-30 minutes of midday sunlight every single day! There are so many activities for you to do outside without having to break the social distancing rules. Mr. Clean Can recommends a nice walk or bike ride for anyone just looking to get outside. Another activity is playing an outdoor sport with those you live with. Feeling artistic? Grab some chalk and make a sidewalk masterpiece, or better yet draw a giant board game you can play outside (check out this website for some cool chalk activities)! The opportunities are endless for outdoor activities, just be sure to stay safe and practice social distancing while doing so!

Talk to Your Loved Ones!

Just because you aren’t able to see them in person doesn’t mean you can’t still talk to your friends and family daily. You can use an app like Zoom, Skype, or Facetime which all allow you to video chat with multiple people at one time! Take this extra time you have to catch up with your loved ones! Have you already been video chatting and not sure what else to do now that you’ve talked about everything under the sun? Try hosting trivia with your friends and family! Put together some questions on various topics (Disney, Marvel, various movie or music genres, etc.), then have your friends and family join so you can test everyone’s knowledge!

We know this time is difficult for everyone, but we can all get through this together! What have you been doing to keep yourself occupied during COVID-19? Let us know in the comments!
