Spicy Cajun Chicken Breast Dry Rub

A good dry rub is great for grilling chicken because it helps keep those delicious juices inside and packs the outside with flavor. Honestly, you can make a dry rub from just about any blend of spices, but here’s a list of ingredients to get you started with a tasty Cajun dry rub.

Ingredients for 3 large or 6 small chicken breasts:

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper Summer Grilling Recipes | Clean Cans Is Your Neighborhood Trash Can Cleaning Service, Serving Residential And Commercial Customers In Central Florida! Sign Up Online Today!
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper (more or less to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Directions:

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

Then, mix all spices together in a large bowl.

Pound each piece of chicken breast until it is uniformly about 1 inch thick.

Finally, rub mixture on both sides of each piece of chicken.

When it comes time to cook, place each piece of chicken on the grill for about 4-6 minutes (each side). If the chicken is still not cooked all the way through, continue cooking on a lower heat to help prevent drying out.

Delicious Tri-tip Marinade

Grilled tri-tip is versatile and with this tasty marinade, it can easily become the main attraction to your outdoor barbeque. For a successful cookout, make sure you start off with a high-quality piece of meat and let the marinade do the rest.
